This ECG was taken from a vigorous and seemingly healthy 87 year old man who was brought to the hospital with a complaint of severe chest pain, radiating into his left shoulder and arm. He was extremely anxious. The EMS crew who transported him had a difference of opinion about whether this ECG constituted a STEMI Alert because the ST segments weren't very high. Unfortunately, they ultimately brought him to a hospital without an interventional cath lab. In the Emergency Department, treatment was begun, and plans were made to immediately transfer this gentleman to another hospital. See ECG No. 2.
