This ventriculogram is from a woman in her 60's who experienced chest pain, but did not immediately go to the hospital.  She attributed her pain to COPD, as she also experienced shortness of breath.  She finally drove herself to the hospital, where she reported the shortness of breath and was given an aerosol treatment and chest xray. After 45 minutes in the emergency dept., she had a 12-Lead ECG done, which showed inferior wall M.I.  An emergency cardiac catheterization, with angioplasty and stenting of the right coronary artery, was performed. Preexisting anemia (Hgb. 5.1) was treated with blood transfusion.  The patient survived, but subsequent catheterization showed the akinesis of the inferior wall has become permanent.
