While the ECG Guru is mainly a site that supports ECG Instructors, providing classroom materials and access to information from other instructors, we welcome ECG students and users to the site.   On this Forum, you will have access to Instructors from all over the world who will answer your questions.  You will also be able to communicate with other students and users.  ECG is a fun skill to learn, and it is extremely USEFUL!   Whatever your current level, there is always more to learn.

What is the relevance of axis?

From my understanding, the axis allows us to see if there is a problem with the electrical conduction system.  If there is a shift in the axis, then something changed the direction of the electrical flow.  Diff Dx would be conduction system disease or tissue death due to MI. 
I am sure there is much more to it than that.
